Welcome to Farnborough Baptist Church

  • "In humility value others above yourselves,
not looking to your own interests but each of you
to the interests of the others"    (Philippians 2:3-4)
    - our motto text for 2016
    Who we are
We are a small, friendly group of people with activities for children and adults of all ages, and we are involved in the life of our local community in many ways.  Our church building in Queens Road, North Camp (on the corner with York Road) is used by a large number of people every week.

Our mission statement:  Knowing God, showing his love, serving the community.

    When we meet

Every Sunday at 10.30am, including Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month. All morning services include activities for children.

We meet for Messy Church on the first Saturday of every month, 4 - 6pm.

Usually on the fourth Sunday of the month there is a service for Bible study, communion and prayer ministry at 6.30pm.

Autumn 2016 is our season of invitation - lots of chances to come to church, whether or not you have been before.  Look on the Events page (under the Activities tab) for details of all the services.  The next events are in the first week of December - Messy Church on Saturday 3 December from 4-6pm (everyone is welcome) and Outlook Christmas presentation including Christmas lunch on Thursday 8 December at 11.30am - for over-50s.  Call 01252 662582 to book your Outlook place.

And if you would like to know more about the Christian faith but are not sure about coming to a Sunday service, the Alpha course might be just what you need.  One course started recently (on 31 October 2016).  If you would like to join in this one, or express an interest for next time around, please contact Rev. John Layzell on 01252 517116, email minister@farnboroughbaptist.co.uk or contact us via the tab on this website.

  • Getting to know us
The best way to get to know us is to come along to a service at 10.30am on a Sunday. We are a very friendly bunch and you will receive a warm welcome.  Come as you are - there is no need to dress in a particular way or to bring anything with you.  At every service songs and Bible readings are projected onto a screen and you can also have large-print versions of songs and a Bible to read from if you wish. Sermons in the morning services are recorded and uploaded onto the website - look under the Audio tab.
Refreshments are served in the back room after the service.
If you want to know more about the Christian faith, as well as the teaching in Sunday services and our regular Bible studies in Life Groups, we regularly run Alpha and Christianity Explored courses.
We want to share the love of Jesus in our community of North Camp.  Whether you already love and serve Jesus or are at the beginning of your faith journey, we would love to get to know you.
